In order to help meet the challenging future ultra low emissions requirements for diesel engines Accentus has developed Electrocat™. This range of clean emissions technologies comprises innovative non thermal plasma gas systems, high efficiency electrical components and catalyst technology each with the aim of reducing exhaust gas emissions. Electrocat™ technology is fully compatible with today’s integrated systems approach to emissions control.

The Electrocat Diesel Particulate Filter

This is an advanced self-cleaning diesel particulate filter (DPF) which allows the filter to self clean or ‘regenerate’ at low exhaust gas temperatures without the need for additives or low sulphur fuel. The Electrocat DPF provides a practical and effective solution to the problem of removing particulate emissions from diesel engine exhaust gases. The system is scaleable and can be fitted to passenger car, medium and heavy truck engines as well as other applications such as marine.

Electrocat NOx Reduction Catalyst

The Electrocat clean emissions system is also capable of removing NOx from diesel exhaust gases through the use of a NO selective catalyst. The performance of this catalyst is further enhanced when used in conjunction with the Electrocat DPF as it produces plasma enhanced hydrocarbon reductants, which improve low temperature NOx reduction.
