How does our technology work?
In the GTL Microsystems process we employ Steam/Methane
reforming and a proprietary metal substrate catalyst
within the PI reactor channels. Excellent heat
transfer combined with a novel catalyst configuration
allows operation at a lower steam to methane ratio
improving efficiency without catalyst
deactivation or coking.
We have demonstrated that our proprietary FT
technology can achieve far greater volumetric
productivity than a slurry bed reactor, because
the PI reactor can effectively remove the heat
generated by a catalyst that has a high specific
loading and activity.
