New energy technology

Mini-channel steam reformers
Accentus originally developed compact mini-channel stream reformers for application in offshore Gas to Liquids (GTL) plant. The modular reforming technology is reliable, and efficient with high volumetric production capacity. Because the reformer is compact it offers the prospect of low CapEx and a small footprint.

Hydrogen from natural gas and LPG
Accentus have taken this modular platform technology, and identified derivatives that offer significant advantage for the production of Hydrogen from natural gas and LPG. The integrated catalytic combustion also provides efficient energy management by utilising the tail gases from PSA or membrane based purification systems and the fuel cell.

Hydrogen from biomass fuel
We see the mini-channel reactor as a generic technology that can be further utilised to produce pure hydrogen from a biomass fuel, or to produce energy and a pure CO2 waste for sequestration by use of chemical looping reactions.

Hydrogen from diesel
Reforming processes are also being developed for liquid hydrocarbon fuels such as diesel. Combinations of plasma reforming and mini-channel reforming are being evaluated to assess cost, efficiency and resistance to coking.
